Intel Updates Mobile Processors and Pricing

  Yesterday, Intel has quietly updated its processor pricing list that features new mobile Celeron , i5  and i7 core processors .

Intel added two new mobile Celeron Processor P4600 and P3500 which cost $86 and $80 respectively. The interesting thing to be noted that Celeron P4600, that has the same price as worse performing Celeron P4500. The price of Celeron T3300 processor dropped from $86 to $80.

   Samsung Mobile Ireland manager Gary Twohig confirm that the company is preparing a 10-inch version for release in the first half of 2011. 10-inch Galaxy Tab would run Android, together with a V8 Javascript engine. the device will come embedded with Sky News and a number of games, including a game called Nova which Twohig says demonstrates the video and audio capacity of the new device.

  It appears that the wireless carrier has discovered that there are some issues with the network connectivity on Samsung Epic 4G, mostly related to the 3G capabilities of the phone, and that enhancements are being prepared for the phone's owners.

  Bad news for Xperia X10 smartphone users. The long promised Android 2.1 update won't come to their devices before the end of October.

  We have earlier given some information on what to expect from this update and said that the roll-out was planned to start late Q3.

The plan for the added features and Android 2.1 step-up still holds but unfortunately we need a couple of more weeks before we are ready to start the roll-out.

The revised plan is to start the roll-out from end of October and onwards.

  There have been a few stories this morning about the N8 availability which we feel need clarification. As we have previously said, we still expect to start the shipments by the end of the third quarter.
