HTC today unveiled HTC Explorer which is an affordable handset that runs Android 2.3.5 OS. The new mobile phone features a 3.2-inch HVGA (480 x 320) capacitive display, 600MHz processor, 3MP camera and 512MB of expandable memory and is expected to become available for purchase in various countries in EMEA and Asia starting with the fourth quarter of the year, in Metallic Black, Active Black and Metallic Navy.
Today LaCie announced the LaPlug, a simple solution to share any USB hard drive or key over a local network. The LaPlug turns any USB hard drive into a network storage device, sharing files wirelessly throughout the home. Simply connect the LaPlug to the network then connect the drive to the LaPlug.You can also connect a USB printer to the LaPlug and make it wirelessly available to all computers on the network.
Sharp introduced the Gingerbread phone –AQUOS PHONE 102SH. Powered by 1GHz TI OMAP 4430 CPU, this device boast 4.5-inch glasses-free 3D display with 720 x 1280 resolution, along with 1GB of RAM and 2.2GB of ROM, features 12MP CMOS camera with full HD recording and DLNA support. No words on price yet but Japanese carrier SoftBank will begin selling the 102SH in early December.
Skype announced Skype 2.5 for Android which supports additional 14 Android devices which takes total to an exciting 41. Now Skype video calling will also be available by default on several Motorola Devices including the Atrix and XOOM.
Toshiba announced the Thrive 7" tablet powered by Android 3.2 and the NVIDIA Tegra 2 platform, features two HD cameras - 5MP camera with LED Flash on the back and 2MP on the front, built-in Gyroscope , Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Mini USB, Micro HDMI and a Micro SD card slot and weighs only 0.88 pounds. No words on pricing and availability, though Toshiba confirmed that 7-inch Thrive comes in two models –16GB and 32GB and will be available in December.
Toshiba expanded its line of All-in-One PCs with the introduction of the Toshiba DX735, featuring a 23-inch Full HD multi-touch display. The DX735 features a 23-inch diagonal touchscreen display that supports full 1080p HD content surrounded in a glossy black finish, matching Bluetooth wireless keyboard with 10-key numeric keypad and glossy black Bluetooth wireless mouse.
MetroPCS and LG today introduced the latest addition to MetroPCS' line-up of 4G LTE - enabled smartphones with the entertainment-packed LG Esteem. Powered by 1GHz Snapdragon processor, LG Esteem running Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) features 4.3" WVGA screen, 5MP Rear-Facing Autofocus Camera, 1.3 MP Front-Facing Camera, 720p HD video recording, 8GB of internal memory and Dolby Mobile Surround 7.1 and a Corning Gorilla Glass Screen Protector.
Verizon Wireless and Motorola Mobility, today announced the Motorola XOOM 4G LTE upgrade will be available for existing Motorola XOOM customers beginning tomorrow. The Motorola XOOM 4G LTE will be available in Verizon Wireless Communications Stores and online beginning October 13th for $499.99 with a new two-year contract.

Nokia Siemens Networks has launched three new 4G devices at PT Expo Comm in Beijing, China. The devices allow consumers to enjoy broadband access at up to 102 Mbps (Megabits per second) downlink and 51 Mbps uplink to support data-intensive services on TD-LTE (time division-duplex, long term evolution) networks. The devices address broadband access requirements that range from basic connectivity in under-served regions, to high-speed mobile broadband in dense metro areas. All are now available to customers.

Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Player 4.0 and Galaxy Player 5.0 will be available for pre-order starting September 27th and will hit the US shelves on October 16th. The HTC Amaze 4G runs on Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread), features a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 Processor with a 1.5 GHz dual core CPUs, features 4.3-inch qHD super LCD multi-touch display, HTC Sense, HTC Watch, 8MP camera and 1080p HD video recorder. T-Mobile also revealed additional details about the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone that it has 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus touch screen, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 Processor with 1.5 GHz dual CPUs, running on Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread) and NFC enabled, the Galaxy S II will offer T-Mobile customers speedy access to their favorite movies, TV shows, websites, games, applications and more.

Samsung today announced the launch of Galaxy S II LTE and Galaxy S II HD LTE in Korean market. Galaxy S II LTE features a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, 4.5-inch WVGA Super AMOLED Plus Display, 8MP camera, full HD video recording and will be available through SK Telecom. On the other hand Galaxy S II HD LTE feature 4.65-inch Super AMOLED display, 1.5GHz processor running Android 2.3 and has 8MP camera on the back with flash and 2MP on front. Firmware 2.12 update for Dell Venue Pro phones from AT&T is now available for download. You will receive a notification of an available update via your phone. They have also finally added search and made Hangouts even better! that includes Hangout for your phone but only for Android 2.3+ with front camera (iOS support coming soon), Hangouts On Air – broadcast your views in public, and number of “extras” like Screensharing, Sketchpad, Google Docs, Named hangouts. NTT DOCOMO, announced that it will introduce two prepaid billing plans, "Prepaid Data Plan 20h" and "Prepaid Data Plan 100h," for 3G data communication in Japan this coming December. The plans will first be implemented for Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.'s (SCEI) next generation portable entertainment system, "PlayStation Vita (3G/Wi-Fi model)," which will be launched in Japan, on December 17.
