SkyDrive now supports ODF, Twitter

Skydrive supports ODF

Microsoft enhancing its SkyDrive service with support for ODF (Open Document Format) - an XML-based file format supported in a number of word processing apps including Microsoft Office, OpenOffice, and Corel's WordPerfect.

Microsoft has also added a few more features that it thinks are "pretty cool." These include an option to share files to Twitter from the SkyDrive web interface, increased browser upload cap of 300MB and Windows Phone images shared to Twitter will now be shortened using Microsoft's sdrv.ms URL shortener.

Look, SkyDrive now supports Open Document Format! We also just released a few other things that we think are pretty cool:

  • 300MB file uploads in the browser
  • Short URLs (sdrv.ms) for Windows Phone images shared to Twitter

We have some really big things coming soon, but for now, enjoy these updates!
