Adobe Photoshop CS6 won't support Windows XP in next release

Photoshop CS6

According to a post on Adobe Photoshop blog, company announced that the next major release of Photoshop CS6 will not support Windows XP including specific Creative Cloud updates.

Adobe also stated reasons for not supporting Windows XP

Leveraging advances available on newer operating systems and hardware allows us to deliver significantly better performance, and focus our innovation efforts around the areas of the greatest benefit to our customers.

CS6 already demonstrates that relying on a modern operating system, graphics cards/GPUs and graphics drivers can lead to substantial improvements in 3D, Blur Gallery and Lighting Effect features not available to Windows XP customers.

For those who are still working Windows XP (it also worth noting that Windows Vista doesn't support CS6 either) its time to upgrade to Windows 7 or wait a little longer for Windows 8.
