LG Optimus L3 E400 appears in Sweden, up for pre-order

LG’s new entry-level smartphone LG E400 Optimus L3 popped up on Swedish retailer CDON website, running Android 2.3 Gingerbread with LG's Optimus UI. This device features a 3.2-inch QVGA (320x240 pixels) capacitive touchscreen, a 3MP camera, WiFi , Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio and a microSD card slot. The LG Optimus L3 is up for pre-order with a price of 1290SEK ($190) contract free and will be in stock by February 27th.

Sony Develops New "RGBW Coding" and "HDR Movie" Functions

Sony today announced the development of two CMOS image sensor models designed for use in smartphones and other devices. They are equipped with Sony's unique “RGBW Coding” function which allows images to be captured with low noise and high picture quality even in low-light conditions. They also contain Sony's “HDR (High Dynamic Range) Movie” function which allows brilliant color to be captured even in bright settings. Sony has also developed a model with built-in signal processing functionality, an element that usually requires external embedment.

The iPhone Dev-Team has released a RedSn0w (0.9.10b4) update fixing an iBooks issue.

The b4 version of redsn0w incorporates the 5.0.1 fix for iBooks, and also for sporadic problems with launchctl.  Thanks to @xvolks for merging the iBooks (sandbox) fix from @comex’s github into the overall corona untether from @pod2g!  As usual, you can choose to install the fix either by re-running redsn0w over your existing jailbreak (de-select Cydia if you do that), or by installing the corona package from Cydia (it’s the same set of files no matter which way you choose).
