Sony today announced that the sales of the PlayStation Vita (PS Vita) portable entertainment system reached over 1.2 million units worldwide as of February 26th. PS Vita experienced an initial burst of momentum when it launched in Japan followed by Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea. Newly launched in North and Latin America, Europe and PAL territories as well as in Singapore on February 22nd, sales have exceeded expectations surpassing over 1.2 million units worldwide.
Toshiba today announced that the Excite 10 LE tablet will be available for purchase from select U.S. retailers on March 6. Previously introduced as the Excite X10, the Excite 10 LE is the world's thinnest and lightest 10-inch tablet powered by Android 3.2, measuring just 0.3 inches (7.7mm) thin and weighing just 1.18 pounds (535g) carries a starting price of $529.99 for the 16GB model and $599.99 for the 32GB model.

Today, Orange announced that it will launch a new high-performance Android smartphone powered by Intel Atom Z2460 1.6GHz processor codenamed "Orange Santa Clara" in Europe this summer. The Orange smartphone will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread but promising ICS upgrade shortly after launch. It has a 4.03-inch display, 8MP camera, 16 GB of memory and weighs in at 117g.
Today Intel announced a beta version of Intel Cloud SSO, an identity and access management-as-a-service (IAMaaS) offering available on Force.com. With Intel Cloud SSO, enterprise users gain single sign-on access to all Salesforce.com applications and dozens of other SaaS apps, through a secure, personalized portal. Strong two-factor mobile authentication, user account provisioning and de-provisioning, enterprise-class identity lifecycle management features, and integration with McAfee Cloud Security Platform provide end-to-end protection for cloud-based apps. The beta is available to a limited number of customers, with general availability scheduled for Q2.
Intel and Lava collaborated to launch XOLO X900 - India's first smartphone with Intel Inside. XOLO X900 is based on Intel's reference design, and packs a 1.6GHz Atom Z2460 processor, a 4.03-inch high-resolution LCD touch screen, front and rear-facing cameras, support for HSPA+ networks, built-in NFC, and HDMI connectivity. No word yet on pricing but the XOLO X900 Android smartphone is expected to hit retail shelves in India early in the second quarter this year and will support all major 2G and 3G networks.
At MWC, ZTE has announced the ZTE Era, one of the thinnest quad-core devices on the market. Based on the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core mobile processor and equipped with a NVIDIA Icera 450 HSPA+ modem, the ZTE Era packs high definition multimedia capabilities into a package that is just 7.8mm thick. The Era has a 4.3 inch QHD screen giving high quality 960 x 540 pixel images, running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) 8GB of memory expandable with a MicroSD card, HD voice and Dolby sound.
ASUS at MWC announced the ASUS Transformer Pad lineup which includes the ASUS Transformer Pad Prime (TF700T) and upcoming ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity series and ASUS Transformer Pad 300 series.
At MWC ASUS announced ASUS PadFone which transforms into a three-in-one combination of a smartphone, a tablet and a notebook when accessorized with the PadFone Station and PadFone Station Dock. The ASUS PadFone 4.3-inch smartphone featuring a Super AMOLEDqHD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual core processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and VGA front camera. Other specs include 16 to 64GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD), Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI, GPS, a gyroscope, HSPA+ and 1,520mAh battery. No word on pricing yet but will ship in April.
Today at Mobile World Congress 2012, HTC announced the upcoming availability of the HTC One S, with T-Mobile as the premier launch partner in the U.S. Expected this spring, the HTC One S is T-Mobile’s thinnest smartphone (7.95mm), featuring an ultra-sleek, aluminum unibody design. The next smartphone to take advantage of 4G technology (HSPA+42) running on America’s Largest 4G Network, the HTC One S is T-Mobile’s first product to ship with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and HTC Sense 4.
AT&T announced that the HTC One X featuring new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be available from exclusively form AT&T in "coming months". HTC One X will be one of the first phones in the U.S. to feature HTC Sense 4 and also marks the first occasion a Beats by Dr. Dre-powered handset has made an appearance on AT&T. Other than that HTC One X features the same a 4.7-inch 720p HD screen, a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor and 8MP camera.
HTC today announced Android 4.0 powered the HTC One V smartphone joining HTC One X and HTC One S. This phone packs a 3.7-inch WVGA LCD display, 1GHz processor, a 512MB RAM, 5MP camera, 4GB onboard that can be augmented via 25GB of Dropbox (available on HTC One Series), or the available microSD slot, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth.

HTC One S packs dual camera (8MP rear and 1.3 MP front), running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0, has 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
At MWC, HTC announced the Android 4.0 smartphone -- HTC One X codenamed Endeavour. The HTC One X features a beautifully crafted polycarbonate unibody that has the ruggedness of metal but is super lightweight. HTC One X is powered a 1.5GHz Super 4-PLUS-1 quad-core with an integrated fifth Battery Saver Core and a high-performance 12-Core NVIDIA GPU. It features 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 resolution) 720p HD screen crafted from contoured Corning Gorilla Glass, 1GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, Bluetooth, NFC, WiFi, DLNA, 8MP rear and 1.3MP on front and 1,800mAh battery.

At MWC, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S WiFi 4.2 (Galaxy Player). The Galaxy S WiFi 4.2 packs a 4.2-inch WVGA (480 x 800) display, runs Gingerbread 2.3, 2MP rear and VGA front camera. After launching the Nokia Lumia 900 as its first LTE smartphone, Nokia is also making the phone available around the world in a DC-HSPA variant, for high speed data connection (42Mbits download) in countries where LTE is not available. The Nokia Lumia 900 features a 4.3 inch ClearBlack AMOLED display features 8MP camera, 512MB RAM and running Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango). It is also the first Lumia phone to feature a front-facing camera, with large aperture and wide-angle lens for sharp, bright images and video calling out of the box. The Nokia Lumia 900 will be available in white, cyan and black, is priced at EUR 480 and also expected to begin shipping in the second quarter of 2012.
Nokia today announced its fourth and entry level Lumia smartphone- Lumia 610. This entry level Windows Phone (Mango) packs a 3.7-inch LCD (WVGA 800 x 480 pixels) display, 256 MB RAM and have 8GB of internal storage but no microSD support, which means no option to expand beyond using Skydrive. Lumia 610 features 5MP auto focus camera, a 1,300mAh battery promises 6.5 hours of talk-time and 530 of standby, HSDPA CAT 7, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, A-GPS and FM radio. It comes in white, cyan, magenta and black, priced at EUR189 and is expected to begin shipping in the second quarter of 2012.
Nokia announced Nokia 808 PureView, the first smartphone to feature Nokia PureView imaging technologies. Nokia 808 PureView comes with a 1GHz processor, running Symbian Belle, a 4-inch Corning Gorilla Glass (640 x 360 pixels) display and 41 MP camera sensor with Nokia Pureview Pro imaging technology and Carl Zeiss optics. There's 512MB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage that is expandable (up to 48GB) via microSD. It also features Bluetooth 3.0, HDMI, DLNA, High-Speed USB 2.0 (micro USB connector), 3.5 mm Nokia standard audio connector with TV-out, Secure NFC, A-GPS and FM radio.
At MWC 2012, Sony announced Xperia U along with Xperia P smartphone. The Xperia U comes with 3.5-inch Reality Display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine, a 1GHz dual-core processor, a 5MP camera on the rear with HD recording running Android 2.3 which upgradable to Android 4.0 (in Q2 2012).
At MWC 2012, Sony announced the Xperia P smartphone features a 4-inch WhiteMagic display, a 1 GHz U8500 Dual Core processor, 1GB RAM, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) (Upgrade to Android 4, Ice Cream Sandwich, planned in Quarter 2 2012), a 8MP rear camera with LED flash and Auto focus and VGA on front. No details on pricing yet.

Over a week ago, Samsung announced the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.o) and today company announced it’s 10.1-inch variant the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). This 10.1-inch tablet features a 1GHz dual-core processor, 10.1-inch WXGA(1280x800) PLS TFT display, 1GB of RAM, VGA front camera, 3MP rear camera, Bluetooth 3.0, 16GB/32GB memory, a microSD slot and running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). There's no word on pricing yet, but Samsung plans to start selling 10.1-inch Tab during March starting from UK.
Huawei, today introduced the world's fastest quad-core smartphone, the Huawei Ascend D quad. Powered by the Huawei's K3V2 quad-core 1.2GHz/1.5GHz processor running Android 4.0, the Ascend D quad features 4.5-inch 720px HD touchscreen, a 8MP rear camera, a1.3MP front camera, Dolby 5.1 surround sound, support for LTE and an 1,800mAh battery which will last for two days with normal usage.

Acer today announced its Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich powered Liquid Glow Smartphone which will be showcased in MCW 2012 along with Acer CloudMobile.
