At the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event held today at IFA, in Berlin, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Note II featuring a 5.5-inch (140.9mm) HD Super AMOLED screen, a 1.6GHz Quad-Core processor and HSPA Plus or 4G LTE connectivity. The Galaxy Note II powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, comes with an 8 megapixel rear-facing and 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera with HD video recording including memory options of 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB with an expandable micro SD memory slot and 3,100mAh battery.

HTC today unveiled the ICS smartphone, HTC Desire X. Vodafone has revealed the Asus TF700KL LTE, a new LTE-enabled tablet which offers a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels, a 8-megapixel camera running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Blizzard Entertainment, the company behind Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo, today announced that its Battle.net service was compromised. The company in its public statement said that truly sensitive information such as credit cards, billing addresses, or real names is safe but hackers manage to steal certain things like email address, the answer to the personal security question, and information relating to Mobile and Dial-In Authenticators. Although they claimed that this information alone is NOT enough for anyone to gain access to Battle.net accounts but as a precaution, recommending all users to change their passwords right away. Microsoft announced that it has reached a patent-licensing agreement with Sharp to use the latest Extended File Allocation Table (exFAT). The agreement covers the use of exFAT in smartphones distributed by Sharp based on the Android platform, other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
