Samsung announced the Galaxy Grand 2, successor to its most popular smartphone Samsung Galaxy Grand. The Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 is a mid-range dual SIM Android smartphone features 5.25-inch HD (1280x720) TFT display, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor running Android 4.3, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB internal memory expandable via microSD up to 64GB and 8MP rear facing camera and  1.9MP HD camera in front. Sony Announced Xperia SP and Xperia L

Sony Mobile Communication announced two new Xperia Smartphone - Xperia SP and Xperia L.

Xperia SP features Super-bright 4.6-inch 1280x720p HD Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, an 8MP camera on the back "Exmor RS for mobile", NFC, LTE, 1.7 GHz Qualcomm MSM8960Pro Dual Core processor and 8GB internal memory expandable via microSD card.

A 4.3-inch Xperia L packs an FWVGA display, dual-core 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8230 processor, 8GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD), NFC and an 8 megapixel camera with Sony’s unique “Exmor RS for mobile” sensor technology and front facing VGA camera.

Nokia has released a new beta version of Nokia Transport which  is available for the Nokia Lumia 610, Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia Lumia 800 and the Nokia Lumia 900.

Nokia Transport 2.3 Beta is available in more than 550 cities worldwide, help you find the best and quickest route around town. Mozilla Firefox OS Revealed in Images

Mozilla's new Firefox OS (earlier known as Boot 2 Gecko) devices aren't set to ship until the beginning of 2013, but new screenshots of Firefox OS surfaced online shows that project coming along nicely. More Firefox OS images after the cut.

The Firefox OS is intended for low end smartphones, if you look at the screenshots, you will find similarities from other mobile OS like Android, iOS or Windows Phone yet it run apps in HTML 5. The most important thing is that Firefox OS includes everything you would expect from smartphone OS like support for calls, texts, web browsing, calendar, contacts camera and run apps.

Sprint rolling out Android 4.0 ICS for Epic 4G Touch

Mozilla's Firefox OS gains Global Support

The Firefox OS for mobile devices built on Mozilla's "Boot to Gecko project" has gained support from number of carriers, including Deutsche Telekom, Etisalat, Smart, Sprint, Telecom Italia, Telefonica and Telenor.

Device manufacturers TCL Communication Technology (under the Alcatel One Touch brand) and ZTE today announced their intentions to manufacture the first devices to feature the new Firefox OS, using Snapdragon processors from Qualcomm Incorporated, the leader in smartphone platforms. The first Firefox OS powered devices are expected to launch commercially in Brazil in early 2013 through Telefonica's commercial brand, Vivo.

Nokia unveils Asha Touch Family - Asha 305, Asha 306 and Asha 311

Nokia today announced the brand new family of Asha touch devices - Nokia Asha 305 (dual-SIM), Asha 306 and Asha 311.

The Nokia Asha 311 (3G) is powered by 1GHz single core processor features 3-inch WQVGA scratch-resistant capacitive display, 3.2MP camera, 256MB of internal memory, Bluetooth v2.1, WiFi, a 1,110mAh battery, FM Radio, 3.5mm jack, and pre-installed Nokia Maps, in addition to the 15 level pre-bundled version of Angry Birds.

The Nokia Asha 311 has an estimated retail price of EUR 92 ($115) and will be available starting the Q3 2012, in five color options Dark Grey, Blue, Rose Red, Sand White, and Brown.

The next one is Nokia Asha 306 features 3-inch WQVGA resistive touch screen, 2MP camera, 64MB internal memory expandable up 32GB via microSD card, Nokia maps, Wi-Fi and network positioning. Nokia Asha 306 will be available in Q3 of 2012 for EUR 68 ($85).

And finally, the Nokia Asha 305 is a Easy Swap dual SIM phone very much similar to Asha 306 but doesn’t have WiFi. It will start shipping in the second quarter of 2012 for EUR 63 ($78).

All three devices have Nokia Browser 2.0 pre-installed (reduces data consumption by up to 90%), runs S40 Asha OS and are offered with 40 free games from EA which includes Tetris, Bejeweled, Need for Speed The Run, and FIFA 12.

ZTE Era announced - 7.8mm thin quad-core smartphone

At MWC, ZTE has announced the ZTE Era, one of the thinnest quad-core devices on the market. Based on the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core mobile processor and equipped with a NVIDIA Icera 450 HSPA+ modem, the ZTE Era packs high definition multimedia capabilities into a package that is just 7.8mm thick. The Era has a 4.3 inch QHD screen giving high quality 960 x 540 pixel images, running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) 8GB of memory expandable with a MicroSD card, HD voice and Dolby sound.

At MWC ASUS announced ASUS PadFone which transforms into a three-in-one combination of a smartphone, a tablet and a notebook when accessorized with the PadFone Station and PadFone Station Dock. The ASUS PadFone 4.3-inch smartphone featuring a Super AMOLEDqHD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual core processor,  Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 8-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and VGA front camera. Nokia Lumia 610 Official, arriving Q2

Nokia today announced its fourth and entry level Lumia smartphone- Lumia 610. This entry level Windows Phone (Mango) packs a 3.7-inch LCD (WVGA 800 x 480 pixels) display, 256 MB RAM and have 8GB of internal storage but no microSD support, which means no option to expand beyond using Skydrive. Lumia 610 features 5MP auto focus camera, a 1,300mAh battery promises 6.5 hours of talk-time and 530 of standby, HSDPA CAT 7, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, A-GPS and FM radio. Nokia expands Asha Series 40 lineup with Asha 202, Asha 203 and Asha 302

Nokia today unveiled additional services and three more Asha feature phone models -- the Nokia Asha 202, Asha 203 and Asha 302 at Mobile World Congress.

Nokia's Asha 202 and 203 phones comes with the combination of a traditional keypad with a 2.4- inch touch screen, ideal for browsing, scrolling and opening applications. The Asha 202 features Dual SIM Easy Swap technology with dedicated SIM manager to personalize the phone and save up to five SIM cards with unique information. Both devices come with a 2-megapixel camera, music player, FM radio, Nokia Browser, and Bluetooth connectivity, and can handle memory cards up to 32GB.

Estimated retail price for each is about EUR 60, excluding taxes and subsidies, and both are expected to start shipping in the second quarter of 2012.

Nokia and EA have teamed on innovative ways to bring games to the next billion. The Nokia Asha 202 and 203 will be the first Series 40 devices to offer EA games. As a 60-day promotion at Nokia Store, the EUR 75 separate cost of an EA 40-game pack - including popular titles such as Tetris, Need for Speed, The Run and Bejeweled - will be automatically waived for buyers of either new model.

The Nokia Asha 302 is Nokia's first Series 40 phone to support Mail for Exchange, giving people access to their emails, contacts and calendar on an exchange server.
