Panasonic unveiled the Toughpad family of professional-grade
Honeycomb tablets which includes a 10-inch Toughpad A1 and 7-inch Toughpad B1.
10-inch Toughpad A1 powered by Marvell 1.2 GHz Dual-Core Processor, 1GB LP-DDR2 , 5MP rear camera and 2MP on front, 16GB of integrated storage expandable upto 32GB courtesy MicroSD card. It also has security features which no other tablet includes like Hardware-level security, FIPS 140-X and HIPPA compliant, cable lock slot and has battery life of 10 hours.
There's also a 7-inch Toughpad B1, which we know a little less about at this point, but both are MIL-STD-810G rated to survive drops, dust and water.
The Toughpad A1 will be available in the Spring of 2012 starting at $1299. The Toughpad B1 will be released later in 2012, with more details coming closer to availability.
