WebM

The rapid introduction of the 1080p VP8 decoder for the ZMS processors highlights the advantages of the StemCell media processing array when it comes to supporting emerging industry standards such as VP8 and the WebM format. The VP8 implementation takes full advantage of the programmability and performance of the array to enable smooth playback of 1080p WebM video using the VP8 codec.

At Computex tradeshow in May, 2011 ZiiLABS showed 1080p implementation of the VP8 codec on its JAGUAR Android 3.0 reference tablets. Based on the the ZMS-20 processor the JAGUAR platform provide OEMs and ODMs a range of Android 3.x compliant 7" and 10" tablet solutions that can be customized and taken to market.
