Apple to replace Faulty iMac 1TB Seagate hard drive

iMac Replacement Program

Are you the one who picked up a new iMac between May and July 2011, a 1TB Seagate HDD? You know, sometimes it may fail under certain condition but no worries Apple has launched a replacement program for certain 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMacs to replace potentially faulty drives at no cost.

Apple is contacting affected iMac owners who provided a valid email address during the product registration process to let them know about this program.  If you have not been contacted, but think you have a 1TB Seagate hard drive, you can enter your serial number below to see if it's part of this program.

Apple will replace these drives free of charge until July 23rd, 2012 via the Genius Bar Apple-Authorized Service Providers.
