Google is planning to introduce a pay-per-view video subscription service on YouTube. According to the reports from Financial Times Google is in talks with a number of Hollywood Studios in order to roll out pay-per-view subscription service.
Recently, Google launched a free movie channel service that comes with a catalogue offering 400 movies on YouTube. Now the company is set to offer blockbuster Hollywood movies that will be available with pay-per-view subscription service.
"Google and YouTube are a global phenomenon with a hell of a lot of eyeballs – more than any cable or satellite service. They’ve talked about how many people they could steer to this . . . it’s a huge number." a representative of Google told Financial Times.
