Flock Web Browser to be Discontinued at the end of April

Flock web browser

As of April 26, Flock a Web browser that was designed to make it easier to use Facebook and other social networks will be discontinued as developers will no longer be offering support to users.

The Flock team joined Zynga in January, 2011 and is now working to assist Zynga in achieving their goal of building the most fun, social games available to anyone, anytime -- on any platform and that’s why they are shutting down.

The company said Flock had around 10 million users at the time of the purchase agreement. Since Flock will no receive no further security updates, the developers have recommended that users switch to either Firefox or Chrome, due to their reliability and robust support for add-ons. Although community-based support will remain open at GetSatisfaction, but will no longer be managed by Flock. Any answers you receive will be generated from GetSatisfaction's community of users.

If you’re a Flock user—now it’s time to start looking for a replacement.
