DoCoMo unveils AQUOS PHONE SH-06D and MEDIAS TAB N-06D

NTT DoCoMo, today announced two waterproof Android devices, the docomo NEXT series AQUOS PHONE SH-06D smartphone and the docomo Tablet MEDIAS TAB N-06D, both are compatible with Japan’s new V-High multimedia broadcasting service which means users of the two devices will be able to watch NOTTV, a mobile multimedia broadcasting station that will begin operating on April 1st. The smartphone and tablet will be sold in Japan only from March and April respectively.

The waterproof AQUOS PHONE SH-06D smartphone features a 4.5-inch high-definition glass-less 3D display with a 1.2 GHz dual core CPU. It comes with a tabletop holder equipped with a built-in antenna that enables viewing of multimedia broadcasts while the smartphone is charging in the holder.

The N-06D tablet, boasts a large 7-inch WXGA high-definition display, weighs just 350 grams and is equipped with high-quality audio speakers. It also runs on a 1.2 GHz dual core CPU and is compatible with both Osaifu-Keitai and one-seg services.

After Sharp’s lower end device AQUOS Phone 102SH, here comes the beast—AQUOS 104SH. Powered dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP4460 processor that has been optimized for the next version of Android i.e. Ice Cream Sandwich. It features 4.5-inch 1280x720 LCD display, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, HSPA+ and will ship with a 2GB MicroSDHC memory card.

Sharp intros AQUOS PHONE 102SH

Sharp introduced the Gingerbread phone –AQUOS PHONE 102SH. Powered by 1GHz TI OMAP 4430 CPU, this device boast 4.5-inch glasses-free 3D display with 720 x 1280 resolution, along with 1GB of RAM and 2.2GB of ROM, features 12MP CMOS camera with full HD recording and DLNA support. No words on price yet but Japanese carrier SoftBank will begin selling the 102SH in early December.
