Nokia expands Asha Series 40 lineup with Asha 202, Asha 203 and Asha 302

Nokia today unveiled additional services and three more Asha feature phone models -- the Nokia Asha 202, Asha 203 and Asha 302 at Mobile World Congress.

Nokia's Asha 202 and 203 phones comes with the combination of a traditional keypad with a 2.4- inch touch screen, ideal for browsing, scrolling and opening applications. The Asha 202 features Dual SIM Easy Swap technology with dedicated SIM manager to personalize the phone and save up to five SIM cards with unique information. Both devices come with a 2-megapixel camera, music player, FM radio, Nokia Browser, and Bluetooth connectivity, and can handle memory cards up to 32GB.

Estimated retail price for each is about EUR 60, excluding taxes and subsidies, and both are expected to start shipping in the second quarter of 2012.

Nokia and EA have teamed on innovative ways to bring games to the next billion. The Nokia Asha 202 and 203 will be the first Series 40 devices to offer EA games. As a 60-day promotion at Nokia Store, the EUR 75 separate cost of an EA 40-game pack - including popular titles such as Tetris, Need for Speed, The Run and Bejeweled - will be automatically waived for buyers of either new model.

The Nokia Asha 302 is Nokia's first Series 40 phone to support Mail for Exchange, giving people access to their emails, contacts and calendar on an exchange server. That and a stylish QWERTY keyboard make it ideal for young entrepreneurs and professionals seeking a beautifully designed phone. Additionally, the Nokia Asha connects to popular social networks and enables chatting through Whatsapp and other IM services. The Nokia Asha 302 is powered by a 1GHz processor and supports 3.5G data speeds. It is available now for about EUR 95.

Nokia unveils Asha Touch Family - Asha 305, Asha 306 and Asha 311

Nokia today announced the brand new family of Asha touch devices - Nokia Asha 305 (dual-SIM), Asha 306 and Asha 311.

The Nokia Asha 311 (3G) is powered by 1GHz single core processor features 3-inch WQVGA scratch-resistant capacitive display, 3.2MP camera, 256MB of internal memory, Bluetooth v2.1, WiFi, a 1,110mAh battery, FM Radio, 3.5mm jack, and pre-installed Nokia Maps, in addition to the 15 level pre-bundled version of Angry Birds.

The Nokia Asha 311 has an estimated retail price of EUR 92 ($115) and will be available starting the Q3 2012, in five color options Dark Grey, Blue, Rose Red, Sand White, and Brown.

The next one is Nokia Asha 306 features 3-inch WQVGA resistive touch screen, 2MP camera, 64MB internal memory expandable up 32GB via microSD card, Nokia maps, Wi-Fi and network positioning. Nokia Asha 306 will be available in Q3 of 2012 for EUR 68 ($85).

And finally, the Nokia Asha 305 is a Easy Swap dual SIM phone very much similar to Asha 306 but doesn’t have WiFi. It will start shipping in the second quarter of 2012 for EUR 63 ($78).

All three devices have Nokia Browser 2.0 pre-installed (reduces data consumption by up to 90%), runs S40 Asha OS and are offered with 40 free games from EA which includes Tetris, Bejeweled, Need for Speed The Run, and FIFA 12.

At Nokia World, Nokia introduced the new Asha mobile phone family, Asha word derived from Hindi - meaning 'hope'.  The Asha mobile phone family includes the Nokia Asha 303, which is a stunning phone designed with sophisticated materials and metallic finishes. It combines a large 2.6" capacitive touch screen with a high quality QWERTY keypad. The Nokia Asha 303 is built with Internet and social networks ease in mind.

The device harnesses a powerful 1GHz engine, 3G and WLAN to deliver a fast Internet experience. Social networks, email and IM are at the center of the experience, easily accessible from the homescreen. The Nokia Asha 303 is powered by the cloud-based Nokia Browser, which by compressing the web by up to 90%, provides higher speeds and a more affordable access to the Internet.

The price will vary from market to market and operator to operator. The estimated retail price for the Nokia Asha 303 will be approximately 115 EUR, excluding taxes and subsidies. It is expected to start shipping in the fourth quarter of 2011.

Nokia’s Asha 200 and Asha 300 Launched in India

Nokia’s Asha Series announced at Nokia World, is now making it way in Indian market as Nokia launched S40’s Asha 200 and Asha 300 in India for Rs 4,759 and Rs 7,409 respectively.

Nokia X2-02 Dual SIM Phone Launched

As we’re still waiting for the new phones launched by Nokia back in October, the Finnish company unveils Nokia X2-02 music phone with Easy Swap Dual SIM functionality.

Nokia X2-02 features a 2.2-inch QVGA TFT display 240×320 pixels, a 2MP camera, recording capability, Built-in FM antenna, Play Via Radio, MP3 player, Bluetooth and support for up to 32 GB with an external MicroSD memory card (with hot swap) and available in five exciting colours- Bright Red, Dark Silver, Orange, Violet and Ocean Blue.

The Nokia X2-02 has a standby time of up to 18.5 days and a talk time of up to 9.7 hours and it come for a suggested retail price of around 60 EUR.
