ASUS Announces the Eee Pad Transformer Prime, Ships in December for $499

ASUS officially announces the world's first tablet with the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor – the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime. The Eee Pad Transformer Prime is ultra-thin at 8.3mm (0.33") and lightweight at 586g (1.29lbs) while featuring a stylish metallic swirl design with class leading enhancements including ASUS SonicMaster audio technology, an HD 8MP rear auto-focus camera with LED flash and battery life rated for up to 18 hours when combined with the optional mobile dock. Pricing will range from $499 (32GB) to $599 (64GB), with the optional mobile dock accessory priced at $149.

ASUS announces Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF700T

ASUS today introduced the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime TF700T. This 10.1-inch Android 4.0 tablet comes with NVIDIA Tegra 3 Mobile Processor (1.3 GHz Quad core Cortex A9, 12 core GeForce GPU), a Super IPS+ / Gorilla Glass 10.1-inch display with a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution and an option of 32GB or 64GB internal storage. There's also an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and 2 megapixel front-facing cam, support for 1080p playback, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, a micro-HDMI port, microSD card reader and a 25WHr Lithium-Polymer battery.

The retail price of the 32GB version of the device will be $599, while the larger 64GB version will go for $699. The price of the keyboard dock will remain the same at $149. The device will be available in Q2 2012.

ASUS rolling out Transformer Prime Update

ASUS is now rolling out Ice Cream Sandwich update for Transformer Prime TF201. ASUS via its Facebook page, announced that all TF201 owners in the United Kingdom can expect to see the OTA update anytime now.

All you Transformer TF201 Prime owners in the UK should be receiving your new OTA Firmware update shortly - we've just received it on our test unit. We'll send a changelog your way before the end of the day!

ASUS upcoming Transformer Pad Lineup unveiled

ASUS at MWC announced the ASUS Transformer Pad lineup which  includes the ASUS Transformer Pad Prime (TF700T) and upcoming ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity series and ASUS Transformer Pad 300 series.

The Transformer Pad Infinity Series is poised to be the go-to tablet for HD mobile entertainment as it features an 1920x1200 Full HD Super IPS+ display and ASUS Sonic Master technology. The 4G LTE model comes armed with the powerful Qualcomm MSM 8960 Snapdragon S4 Krait Dual-core 1.5GHz processor and is capable of download and upload speeds of up to 100Mbps and 50Mbps respectively. The WiFi model features the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor for incredible application and gaming performance.
