Acer today announced that 7-inch multi touch Acer Iconia Tab A110 will be available October 30th for $299.99 in both the US and Canada. Acer Iconia Tab A110 powered by NVIDIA's Tegra 3 quad-core processor, running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, includes 1GB of memory, 2MP front facing camera, 8GB internal storage, a micro-USB 2.0 port, a MicroSD slot (supports up to 32GB), a micro-HDMI and provides up to 7.5 hours of battery life.

Acer Confirms Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for some Iconia Tablets

Acer confirmed that it will update their tablets to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean but didn't mention any models or timeframe for the updates.

Acer believes that the newer tablets will have no problems with Android 4.1 upgrade but still investigating for the older models whether they are capable of running Android 4.1 or not. So, you can expect Iconia Tab A700, Iconia Tab A200 and Iconia Tab A510 to get the taste of Jelly Bean.

Acer today unveiled the Acer Iconia Tab A700 tablet with a premium 10.1-inch full HD 1080p display. This slate is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB DDR2 RAM running Android 4.0 with a 1920 x 1200 resolution. The Iconia Tab A700 also features a 5MP rear facing camera with auto focus, front-facing HD camera, Dolby Mobile 3+ technology, 5.1-channel surround sound, a MicroSD card slot and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR.

The Acer Iconia Tab A700 32GB is available for pre-sale starting today in two models – the Acer A700-10s32u (silver) and Acer A700-10k32u (black) for $449.99.

Acer today debuts its first quad-core tablet in North America, the Acer Iconia Tab A510 with an NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. This tablet features a 10.1-inch WXGA (1280x800 resolution) HD display, a 1GB of RAM, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a 1MP fixed-focused front-facing camera with an improved zoom and a 5MP rear-facing camera.

This 10.1 inch ICS tablet also packs a Acer clear.fi., Dolby Mobile 3 audio, integrated 32GB of flash storage, a Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, WiFi, a HDMI port and USB 2.0 port,

The special edition has the Acer and Olympic logos and will come in black or silver colors starting from March.

Acer ANZ on its Facebook page has announced that Acer Iconia Tab A500 will get Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 update in April.

Great news, everyone! We’ve just got confirmation from HQ that the Iconia Tab A500 will be getting Ice Cream Sandwich in April. No exact date yet, but we’ll let you know when we have it. What are you looking forward to most in ICS?

Acer Iconia Tab A200 owner’s already receiving Android update but Iconia Tab A500 owners have to little longer to taste ICS.

Acer Iconia Tab A200 coming to U.S. on January 15 for $330, getting ICS upgrade in mid-February

Acer today announced that new 10.1-inch Iconia Tab A200 will be available to U.S. customers on January 15th for $329.99 (8GB) and $349.99 (16GB). According to Acer, the tablet is shipping with Honeycomb Android 3.2 but it will get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) upgrade in mid-February.

The Iconia Tab A200 packs NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core mobile processor, 1280 x 800 resolution, 2MP front-facing camera, a USB 2.0 port , a MicroSD slot and micro-USB port.

Acer announced the release of the Iconia Tab A200, powered by NVIDIA's 1GHz Tegra 2 processor, Iconia Tab A200 comes with 1GB RAM and boast 10.1-inch multitouch screen, gyrometer and 2MP front facing camera.

Acer says it began shipping Honeycomb tablet in select countries in November and shipments with Android 4.0 (code named Ice Cream Sandwich, or ICS) will start in January 2012 worldwide. A free ICS upgrade to current Iconia Tab A200 users will also be made available at that time. The Iconia Tab A200 available in Titanium Gray or Metallic Red color.

Skype announced Skype 2.5 for Android which supports additional 14 Android devices which takes total to an exciting 41. Now Skype video calling will also be available by default on several Motorola Devices including the Atrix and XOOM.

With Skype 2.5 for Android, the list of Android devices added Skype video support for include:

Skype also improved support for bluetooth headsets and included a number of bug fixes and performance enhancements, which should further boost the user experience of Skype for Android on your phone.

In addition, as with recent Mac and iOS update, there will be an advertising platform introduced in this new release. Advertising will not be shown to users that have Skype Credit, a Calling or Skype Premium subscription.

Acer expands its Acer Iconia Tab line of tablets with its first 7-inch tablet – Acer Iconia Tab A100 and the industry's first 7-inch tablet running Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) – in the United States and Canada.

The Acer Iconia Tab A100 tablet, comes pre-installed with Adobe Flash Player 10.3, so Adobe Flash games and websites can be enjoyed right out of the box.

Weighing in at a mere 0.92 pounds and measuring only a half-inch thick, the Acer Iconia Tab A100 has a 1GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of memory, and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi. But this is the first Tegra 2 tablet with a 7-inch display. It also includes-a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, micro-USB and micro-HDMI ports.

The Acer Iconia Tab A100 is available in the U.S. and Canada at national retail stores now. Zinio announced that its market-leading digital magazine experience is now available on Android 3.0 tablets. Thousands of magazines that satisfy every passion and hobby, from Road & Track and Rolling Stone to Robb Report, ELLE and BlackBook are now available to Android users on the Zinio app in Google's Android Market.
