The update is being pushed to Acer Iconia Tab A200 customers over-the-air now in the United States and will be completed over the following week. The Acer Iconia Tab A100 7-inch tablet and Acer Iconia Tab A500 10-inch tablet will both be updated in April.
With Android 4.0, the Acer Iconia Tab line will provide new features to give customers more usability and enjoyment from their tablets. Acer Iconia Tab customers will be able to do more with their photos and video thanks to the Android 4.0 update, including improved zoom and the ability to take snapshots while recording video. party apps. Both video clips and photos can be enhanced on the fly, stored and searched for based on various tags, and conveniently stored on Google+.

Acer CloudMobile smartphone Wins iF Design Award

Acer CloudMobile smartphone, yet to be launched but has won the iF design award for 2012.

Acer CloudMobile is the company’s first smartphone to offer AcerCloud technology, will be officially unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MCW) in Barcelona later this month and will be out in the market in Q3. The phone will pack a 4.3-inch high-definition display, Android 4.0, and sub 10mm thick body. There is no other details about this phone till now but we will let you know as soon as it hits the MCW. Acer unveils Aspire Ethos AS8951G and AS5951G Laptops

Acer, today announced two new top-of-the-line multimedia notebook PC-Aspire Ethos AS8951G and AS5951G for the U.S. and Canada.

The Acer Aspire Ethos AS8951G includes an 18.4-inch full HD widescreen (1920 x 1080) display, while the AS5951G includes a 15.6-inch HD widescreen (1366 x 768) display. Models are equipped with either a Blu-ray drive or a DVD optical drive for enjoying movies on the widescreen scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla glass display. The experience can be extended to a big screen TV via an HDMI port for the ultimate cinematic experience.

The Ethos 8951G comes with Acer CineSurround with five Dolby-tuned built-in speakers and Acer Tuba CineBass subwoofer supporting low-frequency effects and vibrant audio for the ultimate movie and music enjoyment. The Aspire Ethos 5951G packs True 5.1-channel surround sound output, two built in stereo speakers and the Acer Tuba CineBass booster, supporting low frequency effects for a totally engaging experience.

Acer Iconia Tab A100 now Available in the U.S. and Canada

Acer expands its Acer Iconia Tab line of tablets with its first 7-inch tablet – Acer Iconia Tab A100 and the industry's first 7-inch tablet running Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) – in the United States and Canada.

The Acer Iconia Tab A100 tablet, comes pre-installed with Adobe Flash Player 10.3, so Adobe Flash games and websites can be enjoyed right out of the box.

Weighing in at a mere 0.92 pounds and measuring only a half-inch thick, the Acer Iconia Tab A100 has a 1GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of memory, and 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi. Acer announces Predator G5910 gaming desktop

Acer announced Predator G5910 gaming desktop for the UK. Acer provides various Core i5 and Core i7 CPU options in the G5910, including the multiplier unlocked K series processors, up to 16GB of memory, 10 USB 2.0 ports, a 12-in-1 memory card slot, and as much as 8TB of storage spread across four SATA drives.

In terms of graphics, Acer is saying is that it's compatible with NVIDIA GeForce and AMD Radeon cards, and that it's NVIDIA 3D Vision-capable

In addition, Acer's gaming rig also packs a multi-format card reader, a DVD or Blu-ray drive, Gigabit Ethernet, and an HDMI output.

Acer announces 13.3-inch Acer Aspire S5 Ultrabook, ships in Q2 2012

Acer unveiled the world's thinnest Ultrabook with the Aspire S5, an ultra-slim device that measures only 15 mm at the maximal point. It weighs less than 1.35 kg (less than 3 lbs.) and is built with a 13.3-inch (34 cm) LCD. In addition, it features the unique Acer Green Instant On technology for fast boot and resume, and Acer Always Connect, which lets users manage their multimedia and data on all their devices at anytime, anywhere - even from sleep.

The Aspire S5 features an Intel Core processor, SSD storage for speed and increased shock resistance, professionally-tuned Dolby Home Theater v4, long battery life via the PowerSmart battery pack (with a 3X longer life cycle than traditional batteries), and is equipped with a chiclet keyboard. This 13.3 incher also offers a magnesium-aluminum alloy cover,  MagicFlip I/O port panel concealed just below the hinge includes HDMI, USB 3.0 and 20 Gbps Thunderbolt.

The Aspire S5 will start shipping in Q2 2012.

This slate is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor, 1GB DDR2 RAM running Android 4.0 with a 1920 x 1200 resolution. The Iconia Tab A700 also features a 5MP rear facing camera with auto focus, front-facing HD camera, Dolby Mobile 3+ technology, 5.1-channel surround sound, a MicroSD card slot and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR.

Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M5 Ultrabooks coming to the US for $680

Acer today announced the Aspire Timeline Ultra M5 line of Ultrabooks in the U.S. Available in 14- and 15.6-inch displays, is 0.81 inches thin and offers up to eight hours of battery life.

Depending on configuration, the Timeline Ultra Series offers 3rd Generation Intel Core i3 or Core i5 processors, NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M LE dedicated graphics and 14-inch LCDs or 15.6-inch edge-to-edge displays, a 500GB HDD and a 20GB integrated solid state drive. It features two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port, 1.3 megapixel HD webcam and also include Acer AntiTheft.

The Acer Aspire Timeline Ultra M5 Series of Ultrabooks will be available in the U.S. beginning at the end of June. Prices begin at $679.99 and range up to $829.99.

Acer has unveiled the V3 Series, a range of notebooks optimized for today's digital needs, available in 14-inch, 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch models. The new line up offers specialized entertainment enhancements for example the 17.3-inch model, packs an Acer CineCrystal HD+ 1,600 x 900 LED display, Dolby Home Theatre v4, and a Blu-ray disc drive.

Acer Aspire S5 Ultrabook coming this month for $1,400, Aspire S3 gets updated with Ivy Bridge

Acer announced Acer Aspire S5 Ultrabook back in January at CES, now, five months later, it's finally going on sale in the U.S. and will be available the last week of this month for $1,399. The Aspire S5-391-9880 is a 13.3-inch light weight Ultrabook with 1366 x 768 display powered by a 3rd Generation Intel Core i7 processor. It features a 256GB solid state drive, innovative MagicFlip I/O Port (pops out to reveal ingeniously hidden ports, such as USB 3.0, HDMI and Thunderbolt), a 1.3 megapixel HD webcam and is Acer's first product in the U.S. to ship with AcerCloud (allows user with remote access to the digital data residing on their Ultrabook via their Android tablet or smartphone).
