Victorinox Swiss Army unveils Pocket-sized Terabyte storage device at CES 2012-Victorinox SSD and Slim USB 3.0

At CES 2012, Victorinox Swiss Army (VSA) today announced the launch of two new portable storage additions-the Victorinox SSD and Victorinox Slim 3.0.

The Victorinox SSD (Solid State Drive) and Victorinox Slim 3.0 USBs offer unprecedented data storage capacity with security measures fit for protecting the most confidential of personal and professional documents. Each pocket-sized device packs anywhere from 16GB to one terabyte of storage capacity, is equipped to withstand a range of environmental and daily use factors, and remains true to the Swiss Army legacy of flawlessly designed products that endure.

Samsung and Verizon Introduce the Galaxy Tab 7.7 with 4G LTE

Verizon and Samsung today announced the Galaxy Tab 7.7 with 4G LTE which will be available in coming weeks. 7-inch ASUS Eee Memo Pad Leaked

Steve Ballmer to deliver CES 2012 Keynote, May introduce Public Beta of Windows 8

Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft Corporation, will deliver a preshow keynote address at the 2012 International CES.

Ballmer's preshow keynote address is slated for 6:30 p.m., Monday, January 9, in The Venetian. Microsoft has used the CES keynote stage in previous years to unveil innovative new products, including the original Xbox and Avatar Kinect.

Plextor announces External DVD Burner for TVs, No PC required

Plextor announces the release of its latest External Slim DVD/CD Writer, PX-612U, with PlexTV at the CES 2012. PlexTV is a new feature enabling Plextor's DVD/CD drive to work with televisions, media players, and other USB-enabled devices. The external drive connects directly to the desired display via USB cable and the user is able to access information stored on a CD or DVD without a PC. PlexTV will be available exclusively with the PX-612U during the first quarter of 2012.

Currently, HDTVs are compatible with a wide variety of devices via USB connection, including hard drives, cameras, and flash drives, but they do not support optical disk drives built for computers. PlexTV enables the use of Plextor's PX-612U drive with these previously unsupported devices by translating signal output to mimic a hard drive.

Qualcomm to launch Snapdragon GameCommand app to Android Market on January 10th

Qualcomm today announced that it will launch the Snapdragon GameCommand app to the Android Market on January 10, 2012, (the opening day of the CES 2012) but it will only be available in North America until "a later date".

Snapdragon GameCommand will give mobile users a way to quickly discover, organize and access the latest Snapdragon optimized, featured and exclusive games. It will also provide feeds from top gaming news sites to help consumers stay up to date with the latest gaming news.

Snapdragon GameCommand will enable users to easily access and play many of the over 100 Snapdragon GamePack featured games on a wide range of mobile phones and tablets. The Snapdragon GamePack includes several titles exclusively available on Snapdragon devices running on Android for a limited time, including "Fight Game Heroes" from Khaeon Gamestudio. "Fight Game Heroes" features head-to-head battles with real MMA fighters, including multiple combat champion and UFC fighter Alistair "The Reem" Overeem.

Other exclusive games that are accessible to consumers with Snapdragon GameCommand include titles such as "Bunny Maze 3D" from Eyelead Software and "Desert Winds" from Southend Interactive. In "Bunny Maze 3D", players help the adventurous Bunny get back his stolen carrots, in a cheerful journey through a magical world. LAS VEGAS – January 10, 2012 – Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) today announced that the Company's Snapdragon™ processors are powering smart TVs at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The Snapdragon smart TV experience will bring full web browsing capabilities to television, including integrated best-in-class Wi-Fi™ connectivity, high performance graphics and the latest Android apps and console-quality gaming experiences. Demonstrations of the Snapdragon smart TV experience will be held during the opening keynote address of Dr. Paul E. Jacobs, chairman and CEO of Qualcomm, on January 10 at 8:30 a.m. PST at The Venetian. Jacobs' keynote will be part of the Technology and Evolving Countries (TEC) Program, focused on the role mobile technology plays in global innovation and economic growth in consumer electronics.

The first Snapdragon powered smart TV, which is being launched by Lenovo, combines Qualcomm's mobile expertise and Lenovo's computing/CE expertise to enable the world's first smart TV running on the Android 4.0 operating system. HTC announces 4G LTE Windows Phone HTC TITAN II, coming to AT&T

At the 2012 International CES, HTC today introduced the HTC TITAN II as the company's first Windows Phone to run on a 4G LTE network. Available in the coming months to AT&T customers, the smartphone includes the largest display among Windows Phones. The HTC TITAN II comes equipped with a 4.7-inch super LCD capacitive touchscreen, Qualcomm's 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S2 processor, a 16-megapixel camera capable of capturing 720p video and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and a 1,730mAh battery.

Verizon Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot- MiFi 4620L will be available on April 12th

First introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2012 the Verizon Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile Hotspot- MiFi 4620L will be available starting April 12th for $49.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
